Hi, I’m Evan! I’ve been an avid comic book collector for 13 years, ever since I first fell in love with the hobby at the age of 8. My collecting journey began during a family road trip to the Poconos, where we stopped at a flea market. Among the treasures my dad found that day was a copy of Spider-Man #13 featuring a classic Todd McFarlane cover. A week later, as we unpacked from the trip, my dad surprised me by giving me his childhood copy of Amazing Spider-Man #300, the iconic first appearance of Venom. That moment sparked a passion that’s stayed with me ever since. As I grew older, my love for comics expanded. I started attending and even setting up at Comic Cons, where I had the opportunity to meet amazing friends who share this incredible hobby. Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to own some grail books I only dreamed about as a kid. While my collection spans various eras, I especially appreciate books from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and 80s.For me, comic collecting is about more than just the books. It’s about the stories, the history, the art, and the connections it creates. The future holds so much potential for this wonderful hobby, and I’m excited to see where it takes me next.
